Curtis Robertson Jr. (born 1953) is an American bassist, guitarist and songwriter. As a musician Curtis’s musical career has carried him all around the world.

He’s toured and collaborated with well known Motown singer, Syreeta Wright, performed as Lou Rawls bassist for 15 years, while also sharing the stage with musical luminaries such as: Randy Crawford, Gladys Knight, Les McCann/Eddie Harris Band, Robben Ford, Maxine Weldon, Steve Hillage, Gary Bartz, Bobby “Blue” Bland, Freddie Hubbard, David T. Walker, Richard “Malachi” Thompson, and Nailah Porter.

His music has always been a bridge—a way to connect heart to heart, across cultures and generations.

Curtis lives in the greater Los Angeles area, where he still performs and records music. He’s a member of vocalist Nailah Porter's band, and also the hard bop CJS Quintet.
